How to Get Toned Arms and Abs in 5 Minutes a Day

Do you want to get toned arms and abs, but you are short on time and energy?

Here’s how:

1. Do 30 Pushups the moment you Wake up.

The moment you open your eyes you need to jump directly out of bed and open the window or back door to the fresh air. Proceed to do 50 pushups.

Impossible you say? Start with 10 and work up each week by five until you reach 50. I can still only do ten with good form before I need to lower my knees to the floor and keep going.

Quality over quantity is critical. Keep your body in a straight line from your feet through to your head; do not let your hips weaken toward the floor. Pull that tummy in and tighten it along with your glutes. Bend your arms out at a 45-degree angle. The key is to bring your chest all the way down to the floor. Don’t cheat yourself!

2. Do 30 leg lifts.

Lay on your back and stretch your arms overhead. Elongate long through your legs to the tips of your toes.

Now, keeping your legs elongated straight, lift your legs to 90 degrees while reaching up with your arms to touch your ankles. Lower back down to the ground while pressing your lower back firmly into the floor. The key is to stretch out through your toes; make those legs stick straight and keep that lower back pushing down into the floor.

Repeat 30 times.

If you can’t do thirty leg lifts, to begin with, do what you can. With time you will get stronger abs, and those toned abs will enable you to do thirty lifts without pause.

3. Stretch your stomach muscles.

Press up into an upward facing dog for ten deep, serene breaths, then into downward facing dog.

Roll over onto your stomach. Now press up into an upward facing dog by pushing up through your arms. Raise your hips off the floor by pressing the tops of your feet onto the ground.

Bring your shoulder blades onto your back by slightly bending your elbows and widen across your chest. Breathe in and out ten times. Next, push up and back into a downward facing dog.

Spread your fingers and push them into the floor to extend your spine back through your hips. Feel the backs of your legs lengthen and your heels descend toward the floor. Breathe in and out ten times.

You are done!

It only took you 5 minutes to increase your body tone and to start your day with a glow to your cheeks. Now drink half a liter of water and start your day radiant and strong.

NOTE: It is an essential ingredient that you do this every day and that it is the first thing you do when you open your eyes.

Do not drink a quick cup of coffee.

Do not grab the newspaper first.

Humans are creatures of habit. If you wake up and do this the moment your eyes open for 30 days, it will no longer be difficult to make yourself do the pushups, and leg lifts to get the toned arms and abs you want!

At the maximum, after 60 consecutive days of doing this habit, you will find yourself jumping out of bed and doing it as if on autopilot. You can do it no wherever you are: no matter if you wake up on the beach, in a sleeping bag in the woods, in a hotel room or inside your cozy home.

Wishing you vibrant, glowing health – Heather Nadine

Wait: Not convinced?

You deserve to have toned arms and abs and feel fabulous. This isn’t just about looking great though, but also about improving your health and reducing your stress levels.

So let me sweep away your excuses:

Excuse #1: I’ll get sweaty. I shower at night for the next day, and I want to start my day fresh. Answer: I do my 5 minutes in front of the patio door, letting the cold air rush over my body, so I don’t even get the slightest bit sweaty.

Excuse #2: There is nothing I detest more than pushups. Anyway, I go to the gym. Answer: It doesn’t matter what workout you are doing later on. An additional set of pushups and abdominal work will only make you stronger. And if you don’t end up making it to the gym, you’ve done some morning strength training, and it’s keeping you toned.

Excuse #3: I don’t know how to do a proper pushup. Answer: Go to youtube. There are hundreds of videos awaiting you.

If all else fails to inspire you to take on this new 5-minute habit first thing in the morning, then go and buy a new swimming suit and hang it in eyesight. I guarantee that if you do the 5-minute daily work, you will look better in it in as little as two weeks.

Do you want to start your day with rosy cheeks, energized and ready for the day? You only need 5 minutes a day to tone your arms and abs.
