WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN MY FIRST PRIVATE CLASS?

In the first yoga class, I will get to know you and your unique needs.

  1. We will talk about any injuries you may have, areas of tension, and stress. I will ask about your motivation and goal for the private class.

  2. Next, we will work on breathwork (pranayama) to shift you out of the stress response and into the 'revitalize and digest' mode.

  3. Following breathwork, we will begin yoga asana and work on connecting your breath with movement. I will carefully look at each pose and give feedback on correct alignment so you can feel more awareness in your body and bliss in each yoga pose.

  4. Toward the end of the hour, I will guide you in a meditation.

  5. The final step will be releasing into deep relaxation in Shavasana.

​A woman with chronic pain in her low back came to me for relief. She’d tried group yoga and chiropractors and nothing helped. I created a uniquely tailored series of postures, breathwork, and deep relaxation to address her immediate pain while building strength, range of movement, and flexibility for future prevention. The day after the first private session she reported that 40% of the pain was gone. I created a video of our session for her to practice daily. After her third private session, 55% of the pain was removed, and after her fourth session, her pain was almost completely gone.
