How to clean your home in just thirty minutes daily

In just thirty minutes daily, you can clean up your home fast and keep it that way regularly! A fresh-smelling and clean house will create lovely energy and an inviting environment for relaxation, laughter, or entertainment.


Spray Down Your Bathroom & Kitchen. Let Soak.


Spray down your toilet, bathroom counters, shower, bathtub, kitchen sink, and kitchen counters with a disinfectant cleaner.


Let soak.


If you have dishes, place them in the sink to soak.


Spray disinfectant on a microfiber cloth and clean all bathroom and high-traffic door handles and electronics.


Dust From the Ceiling Downwards. Next, Vacuum.


Dust from the ceiling downwards with a microfiber cloth.


Dust all furniture.


Use your vacuum attachment to vacuum upholstered furniture such as your sofa and to get into corners.


Power Clean Your Bathrooms.


Clean the bathroom mirror with a damp microfiber cloth.


Use a small brush to scrub any residue or grime on the sink. Clean down the door handle, sink, and toilet (in that order) with a disinfectant cloth.


Make sure to clean the toilet bowl, lid, front, base, top, and especially in and around the seat fasteners where dirt tends to collect.


Clean the toilet with a toilet brush.


Clean the floor around the toilet with a paper towel.


Use a microfiber cloth next to wipe out the sink and shine the faucet.


Use a paper towel to dry the outside of the toilet and toilet seat.


Clean the Kitchen - the Heart of the Home.


Wipe down all your counters with a cloth, not a bacteria-laden sponge — dry counters and table afterward with a microfiber cloth.


Wipe down half of your kitchen cabinets (tops one day, bottoms the next time) with a new hot and soapy clean microfiber cloth. Wipe clean with a dry microfiber cloth.


Wipe down one appliance surface also.


Do dishes immediately after meals to save time and energy. But if you have dishes, do them now.


Do One Load of Laundry Daily. Mop Weekly.


Do laundry daily. Fold and hang clothes as soon as they dry to prevent wrinkles.


Once a week after vacuuming, mop all your floors with a steam cleaner, a mop, or a power-clean vacuum.


Add in One Bonus Hour Each Weekend of Cleaning.


Add one hour of power cleaning each weekend to tackle deep cleaning and decluttering that you don't need to do every day.

Deep clean your floors.


Steam clean carpets and floors.

Flip and rotate your mattress.


Wash sheets & pillows.


Declutter your entryway area and closet.


Get rid of any shoes, jackets, hats, etc. you no longer want or need.


Place keys on a hook and give bags, hats, jackets, and shoes a 'home.'


60 minute Bonus - Weekend # 2


Clean your windows.

Use a solution of one part hot water to one part distilled vinegar.


Wipe down windows with a cloth, then use a squeegee and clean from the top of the window down. Wipe the squeegee after every stroke.


If your windows are extra grimy, you can prewash them with soapy water.


Be sure to clean and dry window frames to avoid any damage from the vinegar.


Tip: Cleaning in direct sunlight results in significant streaking, so wash your windows in the late afternoon or when the skies are cloudy.


60-minute Bonus - Weekend # 3


Declutter and clean your kitchen.


Clean your microwave and oven.


Clean, organize, and de-clutter your kitchen pantry, cabinets, and drawers.


Disinfect your countertop, table, and kitchen skink.


Wipe down all chairs, including legs and underneath.


Time to also make up your beds with fresh sheets!


Do a load of laundry.


60-minute Bonus - Weekend # 4


Deep clean bathrooms.

Scrub bathtubs and shower walls.


Clean shower glass doors or shower curtains.


Use vinegar to clean shower faucets, rinse, and polish with a microfiber cloth.


Clean bathroom air vents.


Mop and hand scrub floors.


Clean grout lines and bathroom corners with a toothbrush or mini-brush.


Unclog drains if needed.


Scrub sink and toilet.


Wipe down and polish cabinets, knobs, towel racks, and toilet paper holder.

The fridge and Freezer in the Kitchen are Clean.

Clean out and organize the refrigerator.


Clean and organize the freezer.

Deep clean & declutter living areas.

Dust from the ceiling downwards, including bookshelves, TVs, and windowsills.


Disinfect and organize electronics, remotes, and cables. Place in one 'home.'


Disinfect doorknobs and light switches.


Declutter living areas by getting rid of anything not used or loved.


Clean out and organize shelves, drawers, and closets.


Time to make up your beds with fresh sheets!


60-minute Bonus - Weekend # 7


Deep clean & declutter bathrooms.

Toss beauty products not used in the past year.


Clean, organize, and de-clutter bathroom cabinets and closets.


Scrub bathtubs and shower walls.


Mop and hand scrub floors (pay attention to cleaning individual grout lines and corners. A toothbrush works well.)


Unclog drains if needed.


Scrub sink and toilet with disinfectant — Polish with a dry microfiber cloth.

Deep clean & declutter bedrooms.

Dust from the ceiling downwards, including bookshelves, nightstands, and windowsills.


Declutter bedrooms by getting rid of anything not used or loved - including clothes.


Clean out and organize shelves, drawers, and closets.


Time to also make up your beds with fresh sheets!


Flip your mattress.


Vacuum the mattress, the bed frame, under the bed, and behind the bed.


Declutter and clean your nightstands.

Deep clean the laundry room.

Declutter and get rid of anything not useful.


Clean on top of the laundry machine and dryer, behind the machines, and under the devices.


Clean the dryer vent and empty the washing machine drain pump


Dust from the ceiling downwards, including corners and baseboards.


Vacuum and mop floors.


Clean and organize contents onto shelving.


Get rid of unnecessary cleaning products and install organizers to hold the rest of the cleaning products.


Disinfect door handles and light switches.


Deep clean your bathrooms.

Deep clean outside.

Sweep the deck or terrace and spray down.


Clean your grill.


Clean outside door frames and gutters.


Wash down outside patio furniture.


Trim shrubs, and weed, plant flowers.


Clean out your garage. (If this is too big a task, do 30 minutes.)
